What capacity do I need for my home?
As a rough guide, allow about 100 W per square metre, but the figure changes with orientation, ceiling height, insulation and glazing. A living room with large south-facing windows needs far more than an interior bedroom of the same size.
Is an air-to-water heat pump worthwhile on the Costa del Sol?
It is usually a good option. A heat pump gives you cooling, heating and hot water from a single system, and the mild coastal winters make its job easier. Whether it pays off in your case depends on your consumption and what you already have installed.
